James Warren
Around 2012, I discovered my interest and passion for politics and policy. This drove me to pursue my Bachelor’s in Political Science, which I received from Azusa Pacific University in 2016.
After graduation, I moved to Denver, Colorado, where I led the 2017 People’s Climate March on Denver, which attracted an estimated 7,000 people (despite the inauspicious blizzard (in late April!)). Shortly after, I began working for the Criminal Division of the Denver County Court, where I worked for two years. I learned a lot from these experiences, but I wanted to increase my knowledge and understanding of policy, so I enrolled in the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs, where I graduated with Master’s of Public Administration in 2021.
I currently work for the State of Colorado helping folks get plugged into programs to get them more skills. In my free time I like trying to improve my neighborhood and community.
I find it pretty difficult to encapsulate my interests to one or even a few topics, so I wanted a space where I can jot down ideas or thoughts as they arrive. Luckily, real estate for this type of endeavor is abundant on the internet, so now I have a website! I don’t know how you got here, but feel free to stay and read the things I think about and comment your thoughts as well (if I can figure out how to enable that).
